Membership benefits

We are always searching for new ways to benefit members. The current benefits are:

• Invitations to members only exhibitions (additional fees may sometimes apply)

• Free application to calls for corporate art purchase and rental opportunities administered by GRACe

• 10% discount on all purchases at DeSerres when you register with your membership card

• 10% discount at Copper’s Hobbies in Kitchener when you show the provided discount card (email for a link if you cannot find your copy)

• Free attendance to member meetings and speaker events

• Members-only newsletter (add our email address to your contact list so you don’t miss anything!)

• Artist listing on the website with image and link (coming soon)

• Benefit from programs provided by funding from regional and community grants

• Opportunity to use the GRACe dedicated gallery space and other building spaces for solo or small group exhibitions at 44 Gaukel Creative Arts building

• Advertise your events and achievements on our social media channels and in our subscribers newsletter

Important: Our extensive membership list qualifies us for regional grants, which support concept-based exhibitions open to all members or member groups in our collective.

Stay connected on social media

Members must join the member Facebook group (Grand River Artist Collective - members only). We post calls and reminders for exhibition opportunities, answer questions, and provide a platform for you to share your successes, request or lend items, or connect with other members. If you do not have a Facebook account, it is even more important that you don’t miss any newsletters!

Follow us on Instagram (@GrandRiverArtists) and tag us so we can share your posts to all of our followers!

Please let us know about your achievements so that the Grand River Artist Collective can celebrate them.

Membership fees

Renewing members will be charged $40 until 2024, when the annual fee increases to $50. New members in 2023 are already paying the new fee.

Beginning in 2024, all membership renewals will be in May. A bulk email reminder will be sent to all members. New members may join anytime but will also expire by May of the following year.

Your membership fee helps cover administrative work, communication, website maintenance, professional development, and exhibition opportunities.

You can also choose to “pay it forward” and subsidize the fees for another member. Let us know if you want to support other members in this way.

We never want member fees to be a barrier to joining GRACe. If you need subsidized fees ($25) or a deferral to a later date, please reach out so we can help you. Email: info@grandriverartists.ca

Payment Options

Pay via PayPal for an instant receipt upon successful payment

Pay via e-transfer to info@artspay.org (please add this email to your contacts list). This email address will be updated when our new website launches in Summer 2023.

Pay by cheque made out to Grand River Artist Collective, 44 Gaukel St, Kitchener ON N2G 4P3

Membership Cards

Membership cards are provided by email in a digital format. They may be printed or kept in a digital format. Some benefits may require you to display your membership card.
